Our dear friend and shelter mascot Ewok is leaving us behind. His race
against cardiomyopathy is run-- he begs for rest. "Ewok" arrived at Ferret
Wise in 1995 at age 2.5, his occupation had been as a laboratory ferret.
He served the shelter well in his capacity of v-hob, was gentle to the
unaltered ladies rescued and later as a gentleman greeter and guardian.
Friendly to all would seem a fitting motto. His medical struggle has
continued for 2 years and has lately been closely supervised by his vet--
Dr. Karen. He had a wonderful last window here-- and amazed us all.
Please light a candle for our true friend "Ewok"-- the walls at Ferret Wise
will miss his presence -- and though we will all carry him in our hearts--
we know things will never ever be quite the same. We are sorry that he
cannot attend our upcoming Holiday Open House on this coming Sat December
12th -- but he will be here in spirit we are sure. Please come and view
his photos and share with us the success of Ferret Wise, in Ewoks honor!
with sadness--
Alicia ,
"Ewoks" shelter mom
