The AFA standard takes the stance that silver isn't a color.  The ferrets
base color is black with a certain amount of white.  Black mitt is the same
as heavy silver.  Black roan mitt is a medium silver - that is a ferret
with black color but about half of the black is replaced by white.  Heck
they used to be pewter, argent and platinum in an older standard.
