FERRET DIABETES
>Does anyone know anything about diabetes in ferrets.  Our 4yo male with
>cardiomyopathy (controlled with meds) and splenomegaly had a urine glucose

Be aware that prednisone can elevate blood glucose levels dramatically, so
if he's on that medication, you may need to decrease the dosage or
discontinue its use.  In the meanwhile, monitor the blood sugar with the
urine analysis strips intended for human diabetic use.
