For all of you who wrote to me in support and to suggest hidey holes where
Toby might be I am just incredibly grateful. You suggested some places I
would never have thought of but unfortunately I haven't found him yet:( I
am still searching, putting out food, putting up signs, etc and hopefully
he will be found, because at this point I don't think he could possibly be
inside (my apartment isnt *that* big and all holes, under cabinet hidey
places have been boarded up). On the positive side, his 'sister,' Ali, who
has spent most of her two years with him isn't acting upset at all and is
cuddling happily with one of my 'singletons.'

As for the woman looking for the gaelic word for ferret, the Irish gaelic
word is firead (with accent over the "e") but it might be a little different
in Scotch Gaelic (of course your husband wouldn't know the difference would
he?). Unfortunately I only know Irish.

Thanks again to everyone who wrote to me - if nothing else it made me feel
better (although in moving every piece of furniture, boxes, etc that I own
over the past few days it seems I created a new hidey hole that my super
hyper kit fell into then couldn't get out - so he almost gave me a heart
attack - I figured if I lost a second one they were never leaving the cage
again! but after alot of calling he finally responded with some little
"scratch scratch scratch" and was 'rescued')

Of course, being a kit, he promptly jumped back in...
Love
Rachael
