Something strange is going on with my BJ, aka, His Whiteness, Whitey-Boy,
Whitey PayHay.  Starting about a month ago, he has started hidding in the
room in the morning instead of coming out to play.  Now he has always been a
sleeper, being a DEW and being deaf, I have always made sure I let him know
the door was open when I get up in the morning.  Everyone else bounds out
of the room.  Most running to the front door, waiting for me to let them
outside while I feed the mongoose -that's another story.  However Mr.
Whiteness suddenly isn't showing up anymore.  Now at night he's a holy
terror.  So this morning I thought enough of this I am bringing him out of
the room.  Well I have never seen him slink so close to the ground making a
b-line back into his room.  Where he goes into one of his tunnels and looks
back out at me.  So I take him out cuddle him and take him into the kitchen
and give him some Cherios.  Well he grabs a mouthful and its full speed
back to the room.  Maybe he has become a vampire ferret and can't stand the
daylight!  Maybe there are monsters hidding on the ceiling that can only get
him during the day!  I know that nothing has happened to him during the day!
We are always there the whole time he's out.  The best I can figure he read
the last warnings on skin cancer and has decided that since he's real white
he might be at risk!  Could anything be wrong with him?  Anybody got any
ideas?  Should I get him sunglasses, the house is awful light since the
entire front of the gallery is screened in?
 
Life is never boring when you have ferrets!
