That poor baby, something is obviously wrong, but what?  If he seems that
dependent on interaction maybe another ferret would be the answer.  When we
first had Meep he seemed content, but with the addition of Daisy there IS a
world of difference.
 
Also Daisy, our little albino, loves small stuffed animals to cuddle up
with, almost acts like they are her babies or best friends.  Maybe that
would help if it is a loneliness problem.
 
Is it possible he is blind and/or deaf?  And afraid when all alone.
 
I think I would most recommend that you have a vet check him over good so
that you know he isn't in pain or ill.  Please keep us up to date on how
he is doing.
