I did some surfing for info on plants poisonous to pets. Here are a few links. Keep in mind these are plants known to be poisonous to humans or (in most links) dogs/cats. http://www.k9web.com/dog-faqs/medical/medical-info.02.html http://www.aaarf.org/plants.htm http://blankees.com/house/plants/index.htm http://www.napcc.aspca.org/prevent.htm http://www.cvm.uiuc.edu/ceps/petcolumns/poisonous_plants.html http://www.science.siu.edu/plant-biology/ugent/news/ugent12.htm Great database: http://www.vet.purdue.edu/depts/addl/toxic/cover1.htm List of top 20 common plants ingested by children: http://www.kidsource.com/kidsource/content/Ingested.html ad for book listing poisons, decent price: http://members.aol.com/Mirror2001/guide.html This link has a list of poisonous plants as well as a list of plants that are SUPPOSEDLY safe. (I did notice that it lists Aloe as safe, which is listed as poisonous on other lists. So I'd do some double-checking first!) http://www.createagraphic.com/ghhs/plants.html My own experience with herbal medicine in humans is that even things which are safe can be very dangerous in large quantities--and a large quantity, for a ferret, wouldn't be all that much. - Megan (chironotavet!) & the furrykids [Posted in FML issue 2456]
