Place--Kiwanis Park Gymnasium, Merrit Island, FL
In attendance will be Representative Howard Futch [Bill sponsor], his staff,
Dr. Ward [Brevard Animal Control], the Brevard Ferret Lovers Rescue Inc.
Dr. Kaci Beckett D.V.M.[Village Animal Hospital], Dr. Heider Heshmati MD
[Brevard Public Health Dir]. Invitations are being sent to Gov. Lawton
Chiles, Dr. Deborah Kemmerer D. V. M. [Ferret Specialist, West End Animal
Hospital], Dr. Bobby Collins D. V. M. [Small Animal Medicine U. O. F. ],
Senator Howard Foreman [Senate sponsor] and a few other dignitaries through
out FL. There will be some great door prizes, lots of food [donated from
some of the space coasts finest restaurants], music and fun for all. If
you would like to attend please E-mail me and I will send you a printable
invitation via E-mail. The invitation is required at the door since the
maximum seating for the building is for 250 people. If you don't have a
printer call me at (407) 639-4504. No fuzzies will be allowed, I'm sorry
but, Please bring pictures, scrapbooks and fuzzy stories to pass around for
all to enjoy. This event promises to be a festive gathering to say the
least so, bring your smiles and memories. All who attend will receive a
printed copy of not only the law that goes into effect 1/1/99 but the inner
office memorandum Subject: Rabies Quarantine Period Now Recognized for
Ferrets from the FL State office of Public Health's Dr. Bill Biggler, MD,
ALL County Public Health Directors in FL. dated 11/26/97 Effective
Immediately. This is a casual affair. This is a wonderful opportunity to
