Ethan writes about ferrets and books.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL! I hope you like picking up.

Seriously, I had a bookcase in my ferret room for a couple of years, until
I finally got tired of picking up the books and moved it into the foyer.
The ferrets were never injured in any way by books, but they loved to play
"clear the shelves". I tried moving the heavier books to the more
accessible shelves, that just made the game more fun. Like I said, I
finally just gave up (or maybe I should say in) and moved the bookcase.
Not all the ferrets were interested in it, but those that were wanted to
play with nothing else. Welcome to the world of ferretdom! I am glad you
are thinking about these things, and doing research before getting a pet.
I am also really glad that you are considering adoption first!
