A woman who adopted a ferret (Ricky) from the North Coast Ferret Shelter in
Jan 97 is unable to keep him, or the ferret she adopted him as a buddy for.
Her mother is taking care of them now, but is selling her house. If no
solution appears, we will take the ferrets into our shelter, but at their
age, it would be better to place them directly into a loving home.

Here is what she writes about them:

"A little about the ferrets:
Bandit is about a 5 1/2 year old sable male. He loves to get out of the
cage and play. He is wonderful with children and other pets. He is not
very cuddly but enjoys to be picked up and played with. He also likes to
give kisses when in the mood. Bandit enjoys sleeping/burrowing in his
single story cat condo. He enjoys walks and digging in the grass. He
loves to get a bath. After draining the water he will lie down in the
bathtub and go to sleep soaking wet (if you let him). His last vaccination
shots were in July of 1997, they need to be updated. He is litter trained
and will return to his cage to go when out and about (unless outside). I
have had him for 4 years. He loves his playmate Ricky and could not be
seperated.

Ricky is about a 4 1/2 year old dark sable male. He loves to sleep. When
he's out to play he will run for a short while and then cuddle up in your
arms to go back to sleep. Ricky loves to be held by adults and children.
He gets along with other animals but is not as aggressive in playtime as
Bandit is. Ricky also loves bath time. It's very relaxing to him. He was
last vaccinated July of 1997 and he needs his shots updated. Ricky is
potty trained but will have an accident on the floor if he doesn't go
before coming out of his cage. If you are watching him you'll know when he
needs to go and you can stop him. Ricky loves to sleep in his hammock.
Ricky loves to be with Bandit and could not be seperated from him.

I do have updated pictures of them if you would like. Both of the ferrets
would make excellent pets to the right person. I'm just so afraid of them
getting into the hands of the wrong owner. I really would not want anything
harmful to ever come their way! If you know someone in my area (Lakewood)
that has prior experience with ferrets and is serious about a lifetime with
them please let me know. Thank you again so much for your help. This a
very hard time for me to possibly have to find a home for my little guys."

If anyone is interested in taking these sweet boys, let me know and I will
put you in contact with the owner, who is located in Lakewood OH, a suburb
of Cleveland.
