Embarrassing stories (Yes, you may have read about this incident in Modern
Ferret or heard it on Warren Ekstein's radio pet show. Rewrote it for here
since I didn't keep those copies and it wouldn't be right to use them,
anyway.):

This happened a long time ago, back when Hjalmar (lovingly remembered) was
a kit, and the Wagners had a dairy with a dairy store just a few miles down
the road in Warren, N.J. ...

At that point in time I was not approaching 50 (by a couple of years); my
guess would be that I was a trim 35 since we'd recently bought this condo
(age) and I walked everywhere I went without Steve ("trim") which meant
that Summers often found me in shorty blouses with strapless bras below.
Of course, it's possible that we didn't get Hjalmar the first year here;
that I can't recall.

What I do recollect is that Hjalmar hated car rides so Steve and I were
determined to show him that such travels could lead to fun results; hense,
a foray to the dairy with their heavier than heavy cream. While I waited
outside with Hjalmie Steve went inside to chat and purchase. Hjalmer was
far too distracted by all the novel smells and cuddles to be afraid so he
happily acted cute when an older, very elegant gentleman became curious and
struck up a conversation. All went went until a cow mooed. Then Hjalmie
headed for the safest close place he could find: the inside of my shirt. I
don't know whose face was more red when my bra wound up dangling from my
waist complete with a ferret kit sitting in one cup!

Did I accidently include Linatone or Ferretone in my post? Hope not.
Can't recall mentioning any nutrient sources OR any laxatives (only
lubricants), but we use the two named above to help with nail clipping, vet
visits, trick teaching, etc. (just as we do Nutrical and Nutristat, while
Furovite and Felavite have been used here in specific illness situations
only). Oils SLOW digestion according to the texts I have for folks
studying to be RDs so they would be the opposite of what one would want for
fur balls. As laxatives we tend to use Laxastat, Petromalt, or Petroleum
Jelly.

Want to help a ferret household and download some free music? Our ferrets
LOVE the plucked music ones and some of the singing ones here. Need beta
folks (esp. Mac users) to let Steve know any problems with
http://www.digitalphono.com .
Nope, there's no pay, but there's a good deal of free music which ferrets
and their servants like to dance to and good fun so that's a win. (Plus we
hope someone will eventually do a DAT tape of funny, gentle ferret songs
(songs about ferrets -- hint, hint, PLEASE) for it. I'm tempted to hire
Roger Deitz to do some if he wants to and no one has some, since he knows
ferrets, has a great voice, and writes marvelous songs...). Write me for a
note about the site and related webpage and addresses if wanted and I'll
forward that to you.
