thank you so much.. all of you who replied to me.. I truly appreciate the
kindness and experience of this list. Thank you, BIG, for maintaining this
arena of support and information.
I'm was told to give jake 1cc of carafate 3x a day, before a meal. But..
I'm now feeding him more than 3x a day.. is it ok to give this amount more
frequently? The ulcer does not seem to be gettign any better.. and I
think he may have esophageal ulcer damage, as he starts grinding almost
immediatly upon swallowing his first taste of food. My vet just nodded and
said I could be right. He (my vet) has basically given up, thinking is
underlying cause in lympho, and he thinks Jake wont be getting better. I
still go for subq's, and he is very willing to weigh him and temp him every
other day, without charge (except for $5 for the subq). I'd like the
exprience of the list and shelter owners... how much is too much carafate?
