My 7 year old adrenal ferret, Slinky, had a drop in temperature on
Christmas Day, 96.3. I warmed him back up with a heating pad and he
continues to be fine. No other symptoms. He does not have insulinoma or
kidney failure. He does have a heart murmur but no fluid or coughing. I
spoke to my vet, Dr. Barrios (who I can't say enough about), two times
and he said to continue to monitor him closely. He ate his duck soup well
yesterday and today. He was normal until I was ready to go visiting.
Normal for him is being mostly inactive. I knew his temperature was low
by touch. I verified with digital thermometer.

Has anyone's ferret experienced a drop in temperature with no other
symptoms? I really feared he was on the way out.

Regards,

Moxie and the Slinkster
