Hi all,

My SO and I rent the first floor of our home to help with our hefty
mortgage payment. :o) We have a very large 2 bedroom suite which we
recently had to totally remodel, thanks to the previous destructive
tenants that we just evicted for turning our suite into a contaminated
dump. Unfortunately these ex-tenants did not understand that a full
grown Rottweiler needs to go outside for walks, exercise and to go to the
bathroom. Needless to say, the poor dog "did his business" inside the
suite for over two months. When we finally caught on (we started smelling
the odour coming through the ducts), it was too late and the suite was a
contaminated mess. I don't know how those people lived down there - the
smell was incredible! Anyway, we learned from our mistakes and will screen
potential tenants more carefully next time.

The next time we rent to tenants, unfortunately we will not allow dogs
(which I love and we have one). We will allow cats (which I love and we
have one). HOWEVER, we would drop the rent by fifty bucks a month if the
tenants had ferrets! You see, we know that most people owned by ferrets
are very responsible and that ferrets themselves are very responsible
animals. Sure, fuzzies sometimes "miss" the litter box when they are out
and about (OK, they "miss" lots!), but really, they are such little messes
and their people clean up after them. Ferrets don't bark and cause
disturbances. Ferrets would never, ever get into the neighbours' garbage
cans, and ferrets don't scare away the postal delivery people.

So Megan, if you and Dervish would like to immigrate to Canada, we have a
wonderful two bedroom suite ready for you to live in here on the beautiful
West Coast of British Columbia. Dervish could even have his own room!.
The place is big enough in case you ever consider expanding your ferret
family and want to get more fuzzies. As far as us Ferret Lov'in Landlords
are concerned the more ferrets, the merrier, and my fuzzies and I would be
honoured if you and Dervish lived in our suite!
