I have one warning and one question:
Question:
I have seen recently that people use a standard household chemical to get
rid of the smell so ferrets don't think tile is a liter box. This was
something like vinegar or ammonia or something like that, but I can't seem
to find it on the archives. Anyone who knows, please drop me a line.
Warning/Comment:
Someone mentioned Dow Scrubbing Bubbles for cleaning tile a few issues
back. This is a great product (although I don't know if it will clean
the smell enough to discourage ferret use), and I use it all the time.
However, I would like to warn everyone about using the imitations. If you
do this, please make sure the area is *very* well ventilated and don't let
your fuzzies in for a while. My husband did some cleaning for me when I
wasn't feeling well, and caught some fumes from an imitation. He was
hyperventilating for 6 hours from the fumes, and we think it did permanent
damage to his lungs, as he still has problems almost a year later. Please,
be careful.
