Before discontinuing any medication, please consult your vet.  Anecdotal
advise is good, but a vet is better.
 
If PREDNISONE is discontinued, it may not be effective if you need to put
your ferret back on it at a later date.  If you are using it for lymphoma,
my vets said that the cancer comes back aggressively when they are taken
off the med, in some cases.  And, that the medication may not have any
effect if retried at a later time.
