Well, I've started scruffing him... He *hates* it... If he even thinks I'm
going to scruff him he gets really mean... He'll struggle and bite, really
hard... Once I've got him properly scruffed he'll just hang there... As
soon as I put him down he'll run around biting anything he can get his
teeth on... and biting hard.

I've even tried biting him back... Not too hard, but hard enough for him to
feel... Same effect, he'll jump and stay hanging there, but as soon as I
put him down he's out for blood...

He doesn't seem to be learning much, if anything it's making it worse.
Now nearly everytime I pick him up he'll bite, which he didn't do before
I started scruffing...

He gets really nasty when someone else comes into the room as well..
He'll chase them around and bite...

Damn, what wrong? It seems that everything that works for everyone else
just makes Dexter worse! I really need to sort him out. I really like him
but my parents say if he's not sorted out soon, he goes...

On a different note, why do ferrets yawn when you scruff them? Is this a
sign of submission, or defiance or just a reaction?
