Hello, I haven't posted in awhile but now is time. We have been struck by a
mystery virus. It resembles ece but with much graver consequences. So far
three ferrets have been struck by this thing and two have died. Both have
been necrosipied (spelling) and nothing has shown in the results. They were
treated with subq fluids, amosi, tagament, karafate force fed and anything
myself or three vets could think of. Nothing worked. The only one to
recover was a little girl that at the first sign of symptoms was given daily
doses of diamethsone for three days. We have not had any outbreaks for two
weeks now (knock on wood) but not knowing what this could be is driving me
crazy. I have become peranoid checking litter boxes two or three times a
day for any signs. Laying awake nights worring about what I might find in
the morning. If anyelse has these problems plese contact me and share
information please.
