On November 3rd, 1992 Mr. Beat Schwarz, Mr. Larry Huston, and "Bruno"
bought 8 more ferret from the Miami Ferret Shelter (which had been
destroyed by Hurricane Andrew), to loving new homes in Georgia. We are
proud to announce that the trip was extremely successful and all 8
zerrets are happy and loved. We wish to thank Mr. Schwarz (of
Switerzland) for his caring, compassionate, and unselfish action in
the air evacuation of November 3rd 1992. The air evac flight was quite
costly for Mr. Schwarz (well over $2,000) - his love of ferrets will
never be forgotten. Ferrets are illegal in Switerzland - but Mr.
Schwarz wants to have a heart thief of his own. In appreciation
for Mr. Schwarz total dedication to the ferret cause; Mr. Schwarz
will be presented with ferrets "Little Lost Girl, and Crystal. Since
Mr. Schwarz visits the United States 90 days of the year, his ferrets
will be with him during this time. When Mr. Schwarz is in his
Switerzland home his ferrets will be cared for by Ms. Chere McCoy
and Mr. Larry Huston. Mr. Schwarz is also being presented a condo
cage (donated by Chris Gonzalez), a hammock "for 2" (donated
by Angela Espinet), ferret water bottles, Blankies, food bowl and
ferret toys (donated by the FFIRC membership). Let it be known
that Mr. Beat Schwarz of Switzerland is a true "Hero of Ferrets".
The Ferret Friends of Indian River County and The Miami Ferret
Shelter extend to Mr. Schwarz their sincere appreciation for

his Miami Hurricane Ferret Resuce service.
