Collective,

Firstly, something fun.
My wife and I finally got around to cleaning out our chest of drawers' and
what did we find? A half dozen pairs of jeans with holes in the knees.
Rather than just chuck them, I decided to make a pair of cut-offs. The
critters went nuts over the pant legs, running in and out higgledy piggledy.
Once again these guys prove to me that the cheaper and unexpected becomes a
treasured toy. Just thought I'd share.

Secondly.
My web server is back up and running. Bob Church's adrenal posts can be
found at: http://www.dogstar.org/ferret/adrenal1.html

Thirdly.
One of my critters has a sore on his tail that just refuses to go away.
He's always had a blackhead problem which I keep at bay with acne pads. My
vet looked at the sore and said that ferrets commonly get such sores and
there isn't much I can do. He gave me some topical steroids to help keep
him chewing at his tail and told me to just keep him clean like I've been
doing. The sore is a circular bump with a slight indentation in the centre.
It bulges from its base slightly. Sometimes it bleeds a bit from the
indentation when I clean it. The last time I cleaned it, it began bleeding
from the base and the sore seemed to start separating from his tail. It
obviously gives him discomfort and I'd like to find a way to help it heal
up permanently. I'm going to take a photograph of it tonight and get the
film developed over the next couple of days, so if anybody needs to *see*
it to give advice I can post it up on my server. Any thoughts?

Cheers!
Matthew.
