Dear Collective,
As I sit here with P.B. snuggled down in my lap and Sherlock fast asleep
under the cage, I count my blessings (fortunately there are many) and say a
little prayer for all the fuzzies that are living in squalid conditions or
in un-loving homes.
The two kids found our their stockings had stuff in them before Christmas
came. Sherlock managed to get a new ball toy out and under the cage before
we could stop him. Who knew he would climb to such a precarious place and
then have the gumption to jump 6 feet to the floor with a largish wiggle
ball in his mouth? I know, I know--I've had ferrets for several years and
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. Still it was pretty funny and I think I got some
decent pics of him acting the "cat burgler"...or would that be "ferret
filcher"...
A very happy holiday to all of you and your small ones. I hope the season
is filled with love, laughter, and joy.
Give your fur-kid a hug, say a little prayer for the less fortunate, and
have a super holiday,
Matthew, Paula, P.B., and Sherlock.
