Hi ferret people.
My 7 months old male ferret, his name is Knerten(doesn't sound that good
in english, :|), has startet chewing on cables. He have ruined a lot of
cables already. Fortunately he have only chewed on low power cables. I
have tried taste deterrent, it's not easy to use that on alot of cables
(computer, tv ,stereo, etc.) I have used scruffing, timeouts. It doesn't
seem to do much good. He actually does not care if i am watching him, he
just keeps on chewing until i grab him. I was hoping someone would have an
idea to how i can get him to stop doing this. What would happen to him if
he got electrecuted, we got 220V/50Hz over here.
Also, i am planing to get another ferret soon. He is neutered, but he
seemed to know what to do when a "jill" wisited him once. Looked like he
was raping the poor "jill". Should i buy i female or male ferret companion
to him. And how should i introduce them to eachother. What kind of raction
should i expect.
Greetings from Me and the Electric Ferret
