Dear Jena,
Please do not declaw your ferret Angel. To declaw a ferret is cruel and
inhumane treatment. Ferrets need their claws to maintain important body
and muscle mass that they need in their everyday activities. To declaw a
ferret is to take away his ferretness.

Perhaps Angel needs more play time with you outside of the cage. I have 5
ferrets and they rarely ever rattle their cage (all five in one cage)
because when they are out, I play with them alot and they get tired out and
want to sleep when they are in their cage. You should get down to Angel's
level (like, on the floor) and play with him with some balls, a paper bag,
an old pair of sweat pants that he can climb into. Rub his tummy and watch
him jump and run and do a weasel dance of joy!! Lots of things can amuse a
ferret and poop them out so they are tired. The best thing you can do is
set aside an hour (at least) in the morning and play with him and an hour
or two in the evening so he will get tired out. PLEASE, PLEASE--DO NOT
DECLAW ANGEL!!! It is VERY cruel.

Thanks for listening.
Suzanne
