I was looking around in Pet Supermarket today, just in to check on their
baby ferrets. I saw that they had one of these new ferret "kong" toys in
their cage, and the pet store was also selling them. They are these hard
rubber things, which sounded like trouble to me. Upon inspecting the
slightly chewed-up kong toy in the ferrets' cage, I noticed that a little
ring-shaped piece of well-chewed rubber on the top was about to come off.
Major danger of intestinal blockage here!!!!! I just cannot understand how
some companies can keep making and selling some products that are so
dangerous to ferrets. I originally saw larger versions of these kong toys
for dogs, but this smaller one was specifically geared towards ferrets. And
there's other crap on the market for ferrets that is simply not safe for
them, such as those little tiny ferret beds or couches that are foam-filled.
I'd like to wring the necks of the people who think their profits are more
important than an animal's health and safety. What is wrong with these
idiots???  ~ ~ ~> :(

Grrrr!  (Well, Happy Ferreting anyway!)

PS- I spend a lot of time searching for safe and fun toys for my ferrets. I
do not limit my search to pet stores, and I make a lot of their toys myself.
I hope that all of you are also as careful and discriminating about what you
let your ferrets play with!!!!
