Following up on Sukie's post about using ginkgo biloba for ferrets, I asked
the question of a fellow Toiletries list member who uses herbal remedies on
pets. She forwarded the question to an pet list, and one of the herbalists
on that list wrote me back the following note. Oh, her previous note said
that she felt ginkgo biloba is safe to use for ferrets, btw. Here goes:

Hi
we use it for senility in dogs and cats, and it is part of one of our
formulas for chronic renal failure in cats; circulatory problems in ears
and extremities.

We manufacture herbal extracts that are in a glycerin base, so that it is
sweet-tasting. The dose depends on the size of the animal, and what it's
being used for...

YES! you can post it to the list...have them contact me if they have any
questions...I don't know that much about ferrets, but am writing a book, on
herbs for animals, and am trying to incorporate as much info as possible
for as many types of animals as possible.

Let me know if I can be of any help!
