Although I certainly do not agree with everything Mr. Lipinski says, he
certainly has the right to say it.  To brand him a Nazi because he wears a
helmet, drives a volkswagon and messes about with the German language is
silly.  When you walk into your garage, does that make you a car?  Also,
looking like Santa does not make him Santa either.  But the name was used
to bring home a description, not to place a tag on him.  At least that is
the way I interpreted it.
 
Mr. Lipinski loves his ferrets.  His viewpoints on things differ from others
on many points.  I read his posts because I do have to admit they are
different.  And when he wasn't posting or was posting differently than usual
I will admit I missed him.  The FML is for us to communicate and learn and
exchange ideas.  And not everyone's ideas will appeal to everyone else.  Ah,
isn't that what freedom of speech is all about?
 
As to your mention of Santa's on the FML, I would like to add one more.
Maggie Mae does so much for ferrets, and the majority of it does not make
the FML.  She has never turned down a request for information or help from
ANYONE that I am aware of.  God knows she has been there for me from when
Hubie lost his toe in the can incident to when Elsie first joined the crew,
and a million and other things in between and since.  She has saved my
sanity, (and many other's too!) possibly my ferrets lives, and I am proud
to call her my dear friend.
 
Like Rick Roller said the other day, what is with us?  Why can't we try to
get along?  Name calling and juvenile garbage like that get us no where.
We all want to help each other help ferrets, right?  Let's try to disagree
without being hateful.
 
My dear Grandfather used to always say that "you can get more flies with
honey than with vinegar." He was right.  You don't have to agree.  Just
disagree respectfully.  Look at all the good people who have left the list
or have limited their posting because of the unpleasantness.  Vets and
knowledgeable people, and the general "lay" person like most of us.  That
really isn't what we want, is it?
 
Be kind folks.  Take a lesson from our ferrets.
