Hi Everyone! I usually lurk on this list, but I wanted to tell everyone
about my two newest fuzzies! I had the day off from work on Friday so I
decided to go up to a shelter nearby and take a look at the ferrets. I have
had a ferret for about a year (male sable named Rhy-oh-ki) and I had been
thinking about adopting a couple more. So I brought Rhy-oh-ki with me, and
really hoped he would get along with the other ferrets in the shelter.
Well, how could I step into a shelter without adopting at least one ferret,
right? I adopted an albino and a sable both male. They came with the names
Roxie (albino) and Fang (sable) which didn't seem to fit their personalities
at all. I renamed the albino Jinx and the sable Thor. The three boys are
getting along really well. I have never seen Rhy-oh-ki so happy. Rhy-oh-ki
does need to learn not to play so rough though. Thor doesn't like to
wrestle as much as Rhy-oh-ki and Rhy-oh-ki seems to like to beat on him a
little too much. I end up having to spray them with bitter apple just to
get them to play nice sometimes. Don't get me wrong, no blood has been
drawn, no skin has been broken. Jinx doesn't take any crap from Rhy-oh-ki.
They keep me up all night from the noise of them chasing each other through
the tubes. They are all good in the cage together too (Yes unfortunately I
have to cage them while I am at work). I do have to buy a bigger hammock
though. Only two can fit in it at a time.
