Hello all,
Well yesterday was a very bad day for me and mine. I was informed by my
landlord that I had "48 hours to get rid of my Ferret" Needless to say I
was not to happy! In fact I went off on the poor maintenance guy who had
to deliver the message. It appears that there was a No Ferret clause in
the Lease I signed 3 months ago. I was quite frantic last night trying to
figure out what I should do. Luckily I have been able to find a long-term
boarding house that is very close to this hellhole apartment complex I live
in. This boarding house is Ferret friendly and the director of it loves
the little fuzzies and is looking for one herself. They also have a vet on
site who is familiar in treating what ails our little carpet sharks. They
are open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and allow visitation anytime.
So I will be able to see my baby before and after work and my wife and son
can visit and take him out to the park during the day time. I know this is
not the best answer for the situation but it was the only one I could come
up with. So Kitty will be going to his new home away from home until I
figure out a way to get out of my lease. Worst case scenario my lease is
over in another 3 months and I will be happily telling these people to Kiss
my furry butt! I hope that other can learn from my situation. Make sure
you READ your leases! I thought I had done everything to prepare for
bringing my little baby into our home and now this. Well if anyone has any
ideas on how to get out of a lease either legally or quasi-legally I would
appreciate the advice. And lastly if you live in Colorado Springs Stay
away from Dove Tree Apartments They are not Fuzzy Friendly.
Matthew & Kitty (Why do I have to move daddy I like it here?)
