Belatedly reading posts from my vacation period, and saw your re ferrets
in Louisville, plus problems getting answers from KY State Govt.
 
I have a letter from Michael Auslander, State Public Health Veterinarian,
dated Dec. 1, 1997, stating that Ky Department of Public Health and local
health department policy is to "use the Compendium for Animal Rabies
Control as a guideline".  If you would like a copy of this memo, send me
an SASE and I will forward same.  If you want to contact Dr. Auslander
direct to ensure that Louisville is following state policy, his number is
