Hi,
I read your post. Please have your vet check her blood sugar. All of our
insulinoma babies in our shelter exhibited the same weight loss and lethargy
when the insulinoma took over their pancreatic functions. Basically, it is
a low blood sugar problem. If left untreated, seizures will develop.
Rubbing a little Karo syrup on the gums can help temporarily, but your fert
will need expert attention from a knowledgeable vet. Dr. Mike takes blood
samples without having to anesthetize our ferrets. It's done by clipping a
nail short and collecting the drops of blood. I hope this helps.
