My son is 14 and has had a water bed for 8 years. When Oscar (my male
ferret) came to live with me, my concern was him getting caught between the
mattress and boards holding it together. We were very careful and it never
happened.
When Lilly came to live with us (female albino) she was six weeks old. My
son made a ramp for her to climb in bed with him, he promised to be very
careful not to let her get in between the mattress and boards.
One day we were changing the sheets, my son did not put a fresh set back on
the bed like I ask. A few hours later I went into the room, found the
sheets on the floor and also felt water. I started looking around the bed
and found many, many, many, small puncture wounds in the mattress. Too
many to repair. The little red eyed devil, I can just see her running
around chasing the noise of the water in the bed. We took the bed apart
and bought a new bed with regular mattresses!
Happy Thanksgiving to all on the FML. I will be leaving my babies for two
days to go to Texas for the holidays. I hate leaving them, besides my
children and family, they are what I am thankful this year.
God Bless,
Carol
