Has anyone else seen excessive weight gain along with onset of adrenal
disease (in a ferret for whom it is clearly NOT winter weight gain just
happening to coincide, that is!). One of our guys put on a HUGE amount of
weight for the first time when his first adrenal started acting up (around
age 4). After the adrenal was removed, he lost weight, and became a trim
and happy ferret again. His 2nd adrenal is problematic now, and he has
again put on huge amounts of weight. (The problem is that the excess fat
makes him a poor surgical candidate, even though it seems for him to be a
symptom of the problem necessitating the surgery....)
