Hi guys!! Wow, three whole things to talk about at once ;o)

I saw a ferret. I saw a ferret!! Actually, I should qualify that... I saw
a ferret on TV! And it was even a positive sighting... sorta <g> It was
on a show on the Animal Planet channel yesterday morning (you know the one
with Dr and Doug McConnell? Where you send in video tape of your animal
and ask about a behavioural problem) Seems this weird ferret-type animal
had a wee problem with toilet training (shock horror!) and even with (gasp)
over-exhuberance! hehehehe The hosts of the show opened up the piece with
something like 'heres a video of one of our favourite animals on this
show... a ferret' <G> Geez, I wish I'd seen a URL or email addy for them ;o)
I felt like thanking them (then passing them onto Ferret Central for 'real'
info hehehe - for some weird reason, they seemed to think that ferrets were
really hard to train ;o) and said that ferret owners tend to 'let them get
away with it' - really! ;o)

Okay... the second thing... Thankyouthankyouthankyou. First to the people
who sent my post about needing a place to stay in Chicago (thanks Margie!)
and next to the people who actually invited me into their home at such short
notice (as in the day before my flight - when they read the email!!) Many
thanks Judy :o)

Third... Actually, I've been all over the place, and haven't been online all
that much. This is much to the dismay (and worry apparently) of my friends,
who know I'd normally be online 24/7 if my eyes would only cope... <G> I've
now seen approx. 695 ferrets since I arrived in the States. Afraid they're
getting to blend together at times!! I'm amazed at how fast time is going,
I feel like I've barely arrived, and I've already been here almost three
months. My time traveling is nearing it's end. As someone told me
yesterday "You've only got five weeks left of your holiday" hehehe that
really sounded funny!! Hard to imagine I actually managed this feat without
getting murdered ;o) (which everyone was sure would happen, considering I
was 'meeting strangers over the internet') or having any major catastrophes
(no earthquakes so far, and the only tornado was too far away ;o) ) I have
missed doing some things I'd counted on. I was hoping to stop by Seattle,
looks like I probably can't make it without a minor miracle occurring...
still have just over a week in Washington, so maybe it'll happen... I missed
on seeing some of the kits I sent over :o( Overall though, everything has
either gone smoothly, or has been 'fixable'. I have seen more people than
expected :o) and have enjoyed people's company no end. 'Only' five more
weeks... actually it's less than that now. more like four ;o) One more
month before I leave. I'll be staying with people I've already met (;o)
no worries with the axe murderer thing!!) in all the next stops, just...
meeting a few I haven't met yet as well :o) I feel daunted every time I
even think of the number of pictures I have of the trip so far. Scares the
dickens out of me, thinking of making it anything other than the list of
non descriptive filenames (such as it is now!!) There are so many!! okay,
I must be close to my space limit :o0

See y'all later!! (see, the accent rubs off <G>)

Sam
