Where did you buy your ferret? at a pet store?

As for neutering the ferret should have had this done before purchase. In
this state you cannot buy a ferret that hasn't been neutered and descented
and given their first series of vaccinations.

Did you receive a health certificate when you bought the ferret? The
company that registered my ferrets is... Marshalls Ferrets ( at least that's
where the two I have came from ) They each have dot tattoos in their ears
for identification purposes. it also states what shots were given, the
neutering and descenting. so...all I can say is to ( unless in your state
you can legally buy an un-neutered ferret ) check with the pet store and ask
them.....

As for biting... there is a difference between play and for real. From the
get-go biting was unacceptable.

How do you discipline? Me, a sharp " No" and a pop on the nose... although
all animals are differet, my took to it and they seem to know how far they
could go until I said no don't even have to give them a pop on the nose
anymore... just the tone of my foice lets them know.

I'm by far a ferret expert but what I seem to do works for me very well.

Your on line ... check out some sites to give you info on your ferret.
People are very helpful : )

well good luck with your new baby!!
