Hi Rochelle,
My ferret Pauly does the same thing. I've noticed that he doesn't want to
be picked up, I believe he just wants to see "What's up there, anything
interesting?".
I usually look down and speak to him, show him what I'm doing....I even
explain what's happening (I'm making cookies....see....No, you can see
without putting your fuzzy head into the mix, cut it out!).
Similar to speaking to a small child who gets one thing locked in his head
(Everyone on this Ferret list knows what I'm taking about ;)
