I just love new topics........and I don't think I have ever heard of this
one being discussed, so....
A good friend just acquired 3 fuzzies..he bought them to rescue them from
the heat...they were being left outside in 100 degree heat..no shade or
shelter....half dead...they are fine now. My friend is an accomplished
herpetculturist and very meticulous in his husbandry so it is with no
surprise that he spent hours on the internet getting ferret info.
Here is what I am asking about...he read to give the fuzzies a salt block
to get any needed supplementary salt. I have never heard of such a thing.
If anything, I **think** I have read here at one time or another, that the
problem with many of the cat foods is that there is too much sodium and
that is not good for the ferrets.
So........do the fuzzies need the salt block?

I reread the post and see that the anonymous writer of the first quoted
part was saying that 'tongue in cheek' third party, if you may. How many
times have you been to the store with your baby and someone will look and
shrink away and call your fuzzy a rat or ugly, or whatever...that is what
the poster is saying.........
