About a week or so I asked a question about other adrenal experiences, but
received very little response. Not sure if that's because no one had
anything to share (possible), or no inclination to do it (more possible :-)).
So here it is again.

I'm looking for people who have had similar experiences to share their
stories with me. Basically, I have an adrenal ferret who had her operation,
and is still showing all the symptoms. Here's the synopsis.

Taz had a swollen vulva, decreased appetite, energy. It was confirmed
adrenal from the U. of T blood panel, and she had her left adrenal removed
in mid-may. Her right one was fine. One week after the surgery, her vulva
had INCREASED in size 25%, no real change in clinical signs. six weeks
after the surgery, still the same, and she's lost .3 pounds, in spite of the
fact she gets a mixture of ferrevite, heavy cream, baby food, vitamin B,
ground kibble and greens once a day, in addition to free food and water.
Supplements now increased to twice a day. Her CBC is normal, thank
goodness.

I was told that the hormones had a half-life of one month, and that I should
be patient, but she is getting more tired, and a little more thin. I can't
stuff any more supplements into her, the two bowls a day is all she'll eat
(and should be more than enough to gain weight), but she's still thin. When
the cage gets opened, she comes says hello, gives kisses, and then either
curls up on my lap or goes back into the cage to sleep. No toy interests
her, no game is amusing. Her eyes are bright, there's no hair loss, aside
from some dandruff her coat is amazing, but she's.... tired.

Obviously, the causes are limited. If it's the right adrenal, then why did
it look normal during the first operation? She's spayed, no sign of
hormones before, so it's very unlikely it's an ovarian remnant.

Sooo, dear friends, I need some response. This is depressing, watching my
baby slowly fade away.
