Hi Ferret Lovers!!

To introduce myself, my name is Christine and I've been reading the list for
quite a few months now. The FML has the most informative and amusing
information about ferrets!! I got my first ferrets in June 1997 (after much
research and some ferret-sitting) and I am hooked!! Ferrets are my first
real pet and I love them sooo much!!! I know I am going to have ferrets for
the rest of my life. They have so much personality. My ferrets are named
Cassidy (2 yrs.) and Killer (10 months, he's the complete opposite of a
killer). Actually I named him Killer because it is slang for the "coolest"
I guess you could say.

Anyway, I just have a question, Killer has one red
eye and one black. His black eye only, seems to get clear eye-boogers in it
about every two days. He cannot get these out for himself so I usually help
him out. These boogers are a good size for such a tiny little animal. I
have checked out his eye and near the tear duct and I see a slight film
starting to develop over his eye in this corner. My guess is that this is
the early signs of cataracts. He does not seem to be in any pain with it at
all. Cassidy does not have this. Does anyone have any info. that could
help me? I have already made an appt. with the vet but I am thinking that
I could just be paranoid and that all ferrets have this slight film in their
eyes and Killer may just have a little bit more than everyone else. Please
write back if you can help me.

Thanks
