In response to the post about the ferret going nuts when hearing the newborn
cry...I had a ferret once who would attack anything that made a shrill
noise. She would attack our cordless phone which had an unusual high
pitched ring, and she would also attack my husband when his pager (in his
pocket) would go off. They both kinda had rings like a sick bird or
somthing. My grandfather always swore to me that rabbits screamed when
snared in a trap <?> so maybe shrill noises put them in the mind of
rabbits??? I dunno?
