Elle, this is the main difference between ferretry and breeding mill. The
ferretries are ( ideally) usually dedicated to the raising and imrpoving the
lines and the animal in general for temperament etc.

This is the head of the nail-- MF isn't a ferretry-- they are a mill for
ferrets, puppies and their other critters-- hedgehogs and the like at their
Butler Hills affiliate.

Sorry to be so blunt -- but they are IN BUSINESS. We as pet people, I
think, need to learn this fast. We ( here I mean) have scads of MF ferrets
- some were our original ferrets -- doesn't everyone just fall in love with
a pet shop baby!! Others are the sick and dying the shelter's can't place--

But we have a responsibility to educate ourselves, and others-- it is not
the ferrets fault they get sick-- but it is our fault for supporting this
ongoing malady. The cycle needs to be broken-- new practices need to be
established.

my pennies worth... thanks
