This is actually a thank you to all of you on the list, and especially BIG
for running it!  Without reading this list for the past year, one of our
shelter ferrets would probably be dead soon and we wouldn't know why.  She
went in for adrenal surgery Friday, her only symptom was a swollen vulva.
Her left adrenal gland was the size of a kidney bean!  The vet said he had
never seen another ferret with an adrenal that large where there was no
hair loss.  We wouldn't have known that a swollen vulva can be a symptom of
adrenal problems without this list.  She is about 3 years old, a sweet MF
ferret named Sarabi, and I am so glad that she will be with us for a while
longer.
