Hello everyone:
Cindy and Footsie here. I am afraid during all of the Oki illness that
Footsie became a tad neglected but now that I have the time...I have a
question.
Footsie seems to be really sensitive to music. She has been like this ever
since we got her. If the TV is on that is fine...she stays in the living
room and plays but as soon as the stereo goes on (even low) or Doug plays
his guitar, she goes running full tilt from the room and as far away as she
can get. I am not sure if it is because she is frightened of the sound of
if it hurts her ears. I am aware that ferrets have very acute hearing, and
I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this sort of thing. I
can't find anything on the web about it.
Regarding CDC ferrets...Footsie is one. We purchased her at 10 wks and her
certificate says she was spayed at 8 weeks but who knows? She is now 4 1/2
months old and weighs in at over 2 pounds and growing. She is going to be
a large female. She is very happy and full of energy. I described her to
a friend as the everready bunnie x 50!!! She is very healthy and although
somewhat of a brat at times...arn't they all at this age? (grin) Having
said all of that, we consider ourselves lucky because if we knew then what
we know now, we would not have purchased a CDC ferret. They are developing
a very bad reputation within the ferret community and I have heard them
compared to MF ferrets. (we are in Toronto, Canada) We still will not know
for sure if she was spayed correctly until she gets older, so at this point
we are just keeping our fingers crossed.
