I just wanted to say thanks to Sharon Bowman and all other members of LOS
who organized the Seattle Show last Saturday.  We had a great time and
thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (a whole room full of ferrets and ferret
owners, how could I not??).
 
There were tons of beautiful ferrets there and not one person let me sneak
away with one (*pout*) so I ended up heading home with the same number I
went down with.  But we also left with some great trophies and ribbons, so
I guess that'll have to do.
 
The venue was great ... Seattle Center was a good choice for the show, and
I hope it's there again next year.  Fewer vendors than last year, but still
tons of cool stuff to buy.
 
Thought I'd see Bob Church since he was rumoured to be in Seattle on
Saturday, but if he was there I missed 'im.  Saw Jean Carley and Suni again,
which was nice (that Cassie is gorgeous! and the 1999 Calendar sounds more
than charming, can't wait to see it.  how's your eye Jean?).  Also we met
Grendel's dad (sorry I couldn't stay for dinner Saturday night) and some
other folks we've been corresponding with over the years.  Everything went
very smoothly and we even made excellent time back home and no problems at
the border.  Marvellous, I tell you.
 
Anyway, now I'm all excited about next year's show already :-) The Breeder's
Showcase was a really good idea, and hopefully more breeders will enter next
year -- though we certainly don't need any more competition!  Yikes, so many
beautiful ferrets and I wanted them all!
