Re: midwest cage space: I would have to agree with you, Delores, I didn't
find much floor room for the fuzzies, and all that empty space above!
For the flooring, I went to Home Depot and had them cut two pieces out of
their custom shelving. It's plasticized wire, easy to clean. My boyfriend
cut a hole out of each for ramping, and we attached the floors to the cage
with plastic wire ties. We used chicken wire for the ramps. Works great!
I used marine carpeting to cover the extra floors. I just laid it down on
the wire, and the fuzzies pretty much leave it alone. Easy to pull out and
vacumn or wash.
I also tried using carpeting on the bottom of the cage, but all of you who
know the difficulty in keeping that floor clean will smile when I tell you
it didn't last long!
