Hi, I am a Japanese living in Tokyo and love my ferret Kuhchan.
I love my ferret a lot and she gives me a great joy and I love to give
best care I can offer her, but I find the cost of ferret is pretty high
and
wondered if it cost this much in US too.

In Japan, a bag of ferret food(1kg - 2 lb)costs 11.7 doller and she consumes
in a month. Well this is OK, but cost of Gistember injection(sorry, I don't
know the right spell for this disease) which she had in Jan. and Feb. costed
72 doller for one shot. In May or June, she have to have blood test before
filaria season starts and it will probably cost 24 - 35 doller.

A friend of mine who lived in US for a long time told me that you can buy
injection set at pet shops in US. Is this true? If anybody know about
this, I would like to know.
