In case anyone's interested, I just compiled some new statistics for Ferret
Central, covering February 15 - March 1, 1998.  They're available at

For instance, I found out that during those two weeks the site got nearly
275,000 hits (all the ferret pages, not just Ferret Central itself) and
transferred just over 1.6 GB.  If extending that to a full year isn't too
inaccurate, that gives over 7 million hits year and over 43 GB transferred.
Oaky, so it's not Yahoo, but still -- yipe!
 
Oh, and if you're trying to get a good connection, 2 - 8 a.m. Eastern time
is your best bet.
