I posted a warning/question about this to APF as well an didn't get any
sort of response. Since the thread showed up here as well, I'll post my
question/warning here as well.
What sort of concern should one have about allowing your ferret to ingest
toothpaste? All fluoridated toothpaste carries a warning that if you
'swallow more than you'd use for brushing' to immediately contact a POISON
CENTER. Now I realize that a ferret isn't going to necessarily eat the
stuff (although I'm sure some would), but considering that they're on
average about 1/75 our size, a little could go a long ways. Given the
sensitivity of the ferret digestive system, is this really a good training
'tool?'
