Hey all,

Wow-two posts in two days!! Just wanted to share Starbuck's two favorite
games...

I call the first one "ferret bowling" and she absolutely LOVES it!! I have
hardwood floors so it starts like this: I pick her up and and very gently
"throw" (NO, not literally) her on the floor so she slides away. She gets
up and comes running back for a repeat, dooking and war dancing the whole
way. She likes it when I do it all the way across the room, and I have all
hardwood floors. When she gets really into it, not only does she dook like
crazy but she leaps into my hand to be thrown again. And her latest varient
is that I have to catch her as she runs by. After a while she gets tired
and runs in the other direction. And trust me-there are few sights as
hysterically funny as when she, eager for another toss, tries to run towards
me while sliding in the opposite direction. You should see her little feet
go!

The other game she loves is blanket toss. My bed is only about a foot off
the ground-I'd reccommend being careful with this one, as we all know
ferrets are not the most graceful of creatures <g>. I throw a blanket up in
the air, and she either stands below it and tries to catch it as it comes
down, or sits on top of it and tries to attack me while I use the blanket as
a shield. And sometimes she becomes a stick ferret (you know that thing
they do, when their legs disappear?) and I wrap her up like a sausage and
unroll her. She loves it.

Happy play time, everyone!
