Hi All,

Happy New Year and best wishes to everyone and their fuzzies in 1998!

I'm seeking some information on the difference between Prednisone and
Prednisolone. Back in October of 1996 Tom, an anonymous poster, stated that
"Prednisolone 5 mg is orange. It is similar to prednisone but not the same
thing."

I need to know the difference since I have 10 ferrets on Prednisone tablets
(5 mg) and someone donated 5 mg Prednisolone tablets. Before I administer
these to the shelter fuzzies I want to make douibly sure that it's okay to
do so. The person donating the tablets works at a veterinarian's office as
a vet assistant and this is what her vet prescribed.

Please post the information to the FML since it is knowledge we all can use.
Thanks in advance.

Ferret hugs,
