Knowledgeable hobby breeders can do a lot of good for the species.  I am
thankful that they exist.
 
They are the ones bringing European ferrets to bring new genes into the
North American ferret gene pool.  I know its like a drop in the pool but you
have to start somewhere.  Furthermore, some of them have a superior
knowledge of ferret genetics that they could share with others.
